I saw this new and fun application that has all of those “You might be a redneck” jokes, and I just couldn’t resist downloading it to my iPhone. Hilariously enough, I am from the deep, deep South, and my family always jokes about how white trash and redneck we are. Not that it matters because we make the best barbecue west of the Mississippi! Regardless, I thought it would be really funny to use this app around my family gatherings to see which jokes actually rang true. Here are some examples:
- You know you’re a redneck when your stair master has an ashtray!
- Your dog rides in your truck more than your wife.
- You have driven off the road while examining your neighbor’s crops.
- You think the last words to the Star Spangled Banner are “Gentlemen, start your engines…”
The sad truth is that so many of these hit close to home because that is what my upbringing was really all about. Let’s just set the record straight and say that I don’t think that there is anything wrong with keeping your Christmas lights up all year round! Other than that, there may be a few things I need to work on, but who am I kidding, I’m a redneck!
