Good news! My boyfriend and I have been fishing for around six months and have seriously caught nothing. That is the truth. We have gone to numerous lakes in our area in different weather, in different seasons, at different times, we have absolutely zero luck, until this past weekend… We actually tried out a new lake that was recommended by a friend, and at first sight, it was completely gorgeous with clear water and people laughing and having a good time.
I had actually bought a new rod and reel that was pink, so I was feeling lucky. My boyfriend and I were both relaxing in our chairs and listening to our iPods while enjoying the beautiful scenery. Suddenly, I felt an actual tug on my line, and we ended up catching not one, but three Sunfish! They were extremely tiny, but I still insisted on cleaning them and cooking them due to our first victory, so it ended up being around two bites per person. I felt so proud to have actually succeeded at fishing that I felt both of my small bites of Sunfish were the best fish that I have ever had. I’m so excited to get out there again and hopefully catch something bigger that will make a whole meal.
