Control Your Cravings

thanksgivingEven though it is the holiday season, I still want to survive without gaining 15 pounds. I always hate how I want to kill myself in the gym come January and lose all the extra weight I gained in the holidays. But what am I supposed to do to avoid sweet potato pie, mashed potatoes, or even dark meat turkey? I think all of that is good in moderation, but I decided to look up on my iPhone some tips online to see if I could find any way to avoid eating so much on the holidays.

One of the best tips that I found on my iPhone to control hunger was to eat a little bit more, which sounds contradictory! However, if you are starving yourself for a big holiday meal, then you are definitely going to binge. It is much better to eat a healthy breakfast and a healthy snack so that you will eat moderately on the holidays. It also is important to identify what your food triggers are, like a Christmas party at your office. It may be a good idea to eat a healthy meal beforehand so that you don’t overdo it. It is definitely okay to splurge every once in a while, but it’s also important to eat in moderation so that you don’t have to worry about losing weight after the holidays.
