Learning To Be a Better Cook

I have to admit that I’ve actually never taken the time to care or even learn to make a decent meal. Now that I have a family, I am doing my best to actually learn to make an edible dinner instead of relying solely on takeout or frozen meals. One of my favorites little secrets is this recipe app that I found on my iPhone which you can shake to find a new recipe every single time. The point of the story is that I am not creative at all, so having technology decide for me is ideal.

Example: the other night for dinner I had a bag of frozen chicken and had no idea what to do. I decided to check out my trusty app and shook it for a random result, and ended up making a delicious chicken teriyaki that my whole family raved about. I am still undecided whether or not to reveal the reason for my success because I am currently enjoying all of the praise of becoming a suddenly amazing cook that whips up delicious meals. This has seriously made my life so much easier since following long and elaborate recipes is completely stressful to me, so don’t tell!
