I cannot tell you how many times I have turned on the TV when a celebrity is on, only to hear them say “Follow me on Twitter”. What? This is becoming more popular than ever before, and I guess it gives us little people a bit of a thrill to be able to hear what our favorite celebrities are saying at any moment of the day. If you’re unfamiliar with Twitter, then you will see that people can constantly update what they are doing so that all of their followers can have access to that information. This is used often as a business marketing tool, and more so, for social interaction to keep up with all of your friends at any moment of the day.
This may sound like something that you would be skeptical about at first, but I can promise you that it is addicting, and that so many people rely on Twitter to get by. Apparently, this is the new craze for celebrities, especially since television stations like MTV and VH1 will constantly post a Twitter feed of celebrities at the bottom of the screen so that it rolls during shows. Just one more thing to keep up with our favorite stars, though I have to admit that their tweets are not all that interesting.
