Eco-Friendly Fireworks?

That is a very interesting concept to me since I am just used to celebrating July 4 in all its craziness and patriotic glory, and I have never given one thought to the environment, except when there were fire restriction bans, and we couldn’t even have fireworks at all. Totally horrifying. Basically, people are having problems with the fact that the beautiful firework explosions are also exploding mass amounts of harmful chemicals into the air every single time, potentially damaging the environment. There must be a way to enjoy an awesome celebration without hurting precious Mother Earth, right?

Well, scientists are working on that exact question, and they are creating fireworks that won’t dispel as many toxins when they explode so that they can be fun to watch and eco-friendly too. I was looking up these green fireworks on my iPhone to see where you could get them, but apparently, they aren’t too popular yet because you still do have to pay the price financially to be good to the environment. Who knows if they will ever beat out the cheap sparklers and Roman candles that you can buy on the side of the road on the outskirts of town? Happy Birthday, America!
